City Sick: Pooka
I never knew much about Pooka. I got this album as a promo when I was at KSUA. I always think it’s on Guernica, but apparently it wasn’t. It was on Elektra. I just looked these guys up, and apparently they had like 4 more albums. I’m gonna have to track those down.
I always loved this song. It reminds me, now, of somewhere around the year 1995. There’s a bit of a black hole in my life from 94 to 96 or so. Mindless jobs in various corporate graphic design departments. Living with Craig and Jussi, and then Megan and Jussi. When this song comes on - and it still does every once in a while - I feel young again. Ah, nostalgia.
